Goldbrook cottage is situated in Middle River on the famous Cabot Trail between Baddeck (20 minutes) and the Margarees (20 minutes). The cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms. Each bedroom has a queen size bed. There is also a small bedroom with a sofa bed for additional guests or children. The maximum accommodation is 6 persons. No cable, but there is a TV/DVD/VCR, and an Internet connection.
The pastoral setting nestled at the bottom of the Cape Breton Highlands offers a quiet, secluded retreat for nature lovers. Bird watching, fishing and miles of hiking trails are some of the pleasures that one can enjoy here. A five minute drive to the pristine Lake O'Law provides swimming and canoeing as well as a small amusement park and restaurant. You can even bring your own horse if you wish to try some cross country with him. We offer paddocks and stalls for him as well.
February, 2011 Halifax, Nova Scotia will host the Canada Winter Games. If you plan to attend, why not plan a side trip to Cape Breton Island and a X-Country skiing vacation at Gold Brook Cottage!
